Bobcat Invitational

Tournament Rules

The Bobcat Invitational is a FHSAA sanctioned event and will use their rules of play. The following rules have been added for tournament purposes.

Game Length:
All games will consist of 35 minute halves, with a 10 minute half time intermission.

Over Time/Ties/PKs:
We will not have any ties at the Bobcat Invitational. In all games, if the score is tied at the end of regulation, we will go directly into a Penalty Kick Shoot-out to determine a winner.

Tournament Point System:
Teams will be declared Champions based on points earned in Pool Play. Points will be awarded as follows:

3 POINTS: A Win in Regulation
2 POINTS: A Shoot-out Win
1 POINT: A Shoot-out Loss
0 POINTS: A Loss in Regulation

Tournament Tie Breakers:
In the event of a tie in points at the end of Pool Play, the winner for advancement will be determined as follows:

The winner in head to head competition.
Net goal differential (with a maximum of three goals per game).
Most goals scored (with a maximum of three goals per game).
Fewest goals allowed (with a maximum of three goals per game).
